Can you answer kissy’s question about Weddings?:
I read somewhere about how one couple labelled the tables using destinations or even establishments that meant something to them instead of the usual numbers. There was also a write-up about why this place was special, along with a picture of the place. Anther couple had a totally different menu for the kids and art materials to keep them busy. Do you have any ideas like these for weddings to make them more interesting? Regarding any aspect of the wedding. Thanks!

Weddings Feedback: Fireworks
Weddings Feedback: 1. Have the bride wait for the groom, that is escorted in by his mother.
2. Come on a bike.
3. Have the groom wear the dress, and you a suit (this one may not be so desirable)
4. Have a flowerboy and a ring girl.
Weddings Feedback: im going to have some games at our wedding but so far i only decided on one thats nice. we’ll have the guests write a question. then after all the wedding programs we’ll squeeze it in and me and my groom will each have a drawing book to write the answers on! you can also ask them to ask questions answerable by either ‘the bride’ of ‘the groom’ (like u likes doing the dishes? or show snores?) then u each get ur shoe and raise it if its you! i think i’ll post a separate question for game ideas also hehehe! i was also thinking of asking the guest to write a piece of advise and put it on our wedding scrapbook:)
Weddings Feedback: 1. Do a second kiss after being announced husband & wife (great photo opp)
2. Butterfly release before the reception start
3. If combining families (with kids) incorporate the kids into the ceremony by exchanging vows with them as well
4. Symbolism is always big….sand ceremony, unity candle, broom jump (all represent the same thing but when done correctly can be visually stunning)
5. Have each guest that sits in an aisle seat hand the bride 1 single flower as she approaches the altar…when she reaches the altar she will have her bouquet.
6. Name your tables after your favorite tv shows
7. Have a seating scroll (a elegant large scroll on a pedestal that stands at the entry to the reception…has seating assignments on it…eliminates the need for little place cards…let the guest find their designated table and sit wherever they want at that table)
Hope these were helpful….
Weddings Feedback: I had a slight star wars theme. Instead of table numbers you were at table “Darth Vader” or “Luke Skywalker”. There were pictures of the character on the table and that picture was also on the place cards. We had dolled up light sabers (looked like a bouquet), had banners, figures at the tables and also 2 storm troopers custom made wedding cake toppers!
Weddings Feedback: Something I’m doing is along the same lines. I’m numbering my tables at the reception with years that my fiance and I were alive and putting pictures of each of us during that year. I like the idea of a slide show showing the same thing, but I don’t like a slide show going on. Plus, it will encourage the guests to mingle. Another thing I’m doing is asking each guest, on the RSVP card, to list a song they’d like to hear at the reception so that there will be sure to be music everyone will enjoy. Plus, then when that song plays, they’ll know it’s playing especially for them!
Weddings Feedback: My daughter is planning a camo wedding at the river. With grilled foods and children will be swimming at the reception…casual and fun.
