    Weddings Feedback:

Buy a wedding magazine. Just one. They are all the same, pretty much.

Weddings Feedback: Check, they have lots of good favors and decorations.

I wanted to add that I agree with the poster below about marrying on an odd day- we are getting married on a Thursday and it has saved me at least a thousand dollars.

Weddings Feedback: go to the library and/or search online. When is the wedding? how big? make it special to the both of you. simple is best and more elegant. There are chapels to rent, someones home, your church? Pick a couple of colors and go with that. You don’t have to have fancy smancy stuff. Look on Ebay for favors and such Best of Luck!!!

Weddings Feedback: definitely check out the knot as listed above, especially the local boards for local vendor recommendations, etc. There are also lots of great books online or at your local bookstore for budget conscious brides, but I can’t think of titles off hand.

Here’s a great article too. One thing it mentions is marrying on a Friday night…we did that and it saved a ton of money and our guests didn’t care.

Weddings Feedback: the Internet has lots of good sites, including theknot.com , theweddingchannel.com , and marthastewart.com

also, try the “Bridal Bargains” book by Alan and Denise Fields. it has a lot of good shortcuts and insider information about the bridal industry and will help you become a more informed shopper.

    Weddings Feedback: Try this link:
It’s a Canadian website, so their vendor listings may not be of use to you, but they have good tips.

These sites also have some good tips:
